“I wanted to remind people that the lowest types of humanity may have within them the capacity for supreme self-sacrifice. The dwarfed, misshapen beggar of the streets may have the noblest ideals.”

This quote from Lon Chaney, one of the biggest stars of early horror films, describes one of his most famous roles perfectly: Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer of the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

We will be performing a musical accompaniment to the fantastic and famous 1923 silent movie “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” for this evening’s show.

This will be the last Modern Robot show until 2012, so if you’ve ever wanted to see one of our shows, now’s the time!

Suggested donation of $3-$5, showtime is 8:00 pm.

Also: Ben’s Going-away Party/After-party @ 9:30 Glenwood Avenue! We’re looking at perhaps making some absurd, stone-soup style drink, or a series of them, depending on what people bring. So, if you think of it, bring liquor or soda or fruit or herbs and we’ll try and make a thing of it! Otherwise, BYOB.
